Marco Materazzi
A gentleman who believes in Peace



The World Organization for Peace names Marco Materazzi Honorary Ambassador of Goodwill for Peace, after having been elected by SIC (Superior Interreligious Council) and the CC (Communications Council). He was elected because he is an outstanding personality in world wide football, which has achieved to possess the requirements of being a good person with good principles. From now on as a man of peace, he compromises to transmit his image, popularity and his deeds in favor of Peace, towards the world which will try to imitate him.
When he was asked about the sports dispute in the world final in the year 2006 with another great star Zinedine Zidane, Materazzi he answered with confidence. If I have offended him, I will apologize myself and if we both leave the public without a clarification, due to differences which sometimes the heat of the moment leads men to commit a mistake, I will talk it over with Zidane whom is also a gentleman. I will then invite him to apologize publicly since it is to the public towards whom we are obliged. I feel that Zidane and I both are men of honor, and for that reason I think that this controversy must end, because both of us, have more important missions and much to offer and to give, towards football and World Peace.
